About the Governing Board:
The Governing Board is the supreme governing and executive body of the University. It exercises the powers and duties of the University as specified in the HKUST(Guangzhou) Charter. The Governing Board consists of 17 members, among which, 8 members are appointed by Guangzhou University, 8 members are appointed by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and 1 member is appointed by the People’s Government of Guangdong Province or the Department of Education of Guangdong Province.
