Abstract
The world is currently experiencing two transformations: one driven by the advancement of digital technologies, particularly the unprecedented breadth, depth, and speed of intelligent digitalization; and the other propelled by the values of human sustainable development, encompassing economic, social, and environmental dimensions. These intertwined transformations form a dual transformation of human society, which also intersects with China's modernization process, presenting historical conditions for educational reform, development, and the growth and learning of Chinese youth. This sharing will discuss how to understand this dual transformation and how can universities and students effectively take the opportunities to enable their own dual transformation.

GONG Ke 龔克
Born in Beijing in 1955 and entered a factory to work in 1970. Admitted by Beijing Institute of Technology in 1977 through National Gaokao, where obtained a bachelor's degree in electronic engineering. In 1982, was selected by the State to study abroad and obtained a Ph.D. in Technical Sciences from Graz University of Technology in Austria. Returned to China in 1987 and began teaching at Tsinghua University, where served as the head of the Department of Electronic Engineering, Director of the Aerospace Center, Vice-Dean of Graduate School, Director of Research Office, Vice-President, as well as Director of the National Key Laboratory of Microwave and Digital Communication and the director of the Tsinghua National Laboratory for Information Science and Technology (formerly known as the National Laboratory (Preparation)). From July 2006 to January 2011, served as the President of Tianjin University, and from January 2011 to January 2018, served as the President of Nankai University. Achieved numerous awards such as National Technology Invention Award for the leading work in China's digital TV wireless transmission standards and micro-satellite technology experiments. Served as Vice-Chairman of China Institute of Communications and China Electronics Society, Vice-Chairman of China Higher Education Society, and member of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council. Appointed as member of the United Nations Secretary-General's Scientific Advisory Board (2013-2017) and elected as the President of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (2019-2022), a Fellow of the International Science Council (2022), and a standing committee member of the China Association for Science and Technology (2006-2016) etc.
